Washing Machine proudly presents
WIFE SWAP USA
TUNDRA
THE DAZE
COLLARS
QUEEN DOGS
On Saturday 2nd April we’re giddy to the gizzards to be welcoming Brighton-based bringers of vivacious vibecore violence WIFE SWAP USA to The Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds.
Combining the grit and social awareness of Idles, Slaves and Fontaines DC with the humour of Amyl & The Sniffers and The Chats, WIFE SWAP USA fill the gap you didn’t know needed filling. Subverting classic punk themes with snarling bitterness, these Brighton-based newcomers are one to watch in 2022. Music you can dance to, multi-layered lyrics to make you think, and a f***-you attitude, WIFE SWAP USA are here to do what they want. Good luck stopping them.
Supporting are Sudbury’s prized purveyors of grunge-surf-punk-pop perfection TUNDRA (spoiler alert: we’ve heard their new stuff; it will literally make your brains erupt through your face), BurySOUND-bursting garage-punk heroes THE DAZE, fast-rising DIY indie heroes COLLARS and surefire excitement inciters QUEEN DOGS.
6-11pm
All ages are welcome. Under-14s must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
There is a fully-licensed bar on the premises. No ID, no alcohol.
We will be respecting and implementing whatever measures are necessary to control the spread of COVID-19 on the day. All measures will meet government guidelines.
THE HUNTER CLUB IS A SAFE SPACE
We take audience safety very seriously at The Hunter Club, and strongly believe that gigs can and should be safe spaces, free from harassment, intimidation, prejudice, bullying and violence. We expect that all artists, venue staff and attendees will respect our values, and we have a zero tolerance policy towards those who do not. Anyone who endangers the enjoyment and safety of others at a Washing Machine night will be ejected and barred. It is unfortunate that in 2022 we still have to say this stuff, but we hope that by doing so we can help to create an atmosphere where everyone feels safe and able to enjoy themselves.
