A free monthly spoken word event on the last Thursday of the month at The Hunter Club, Bury St Edmunds.
Plenty of 5 minute open mic slots throughout the evening with a feature poet closing off every night.
Very friendly and supportive audience, we encourage a lively atmosphere! All styles of spoken word and poetry are welcome – happy, sad, funny, serious, whatever!!

The Hunter Club is a cashless venue
A ticket to this event does not entitle you to access other events that may be happening in other rooms.
GOB is an all ages event.
Under-14’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Under-18’s are only allowed in the bar area to purchase a soft drink and then must return to the event area.
The Hunter Club is an 18+ venue and all-ages events work on mutual respect. You are welcome to attend advertised events, but to watch the performances. Not to hang around outside, or in other parts of the club that are neither bar or venue. An abuse of these policies will result in all events being 18+ only.
The Hunter Club is a safe space. We have a zero tolerance policy to any kind of abuse. Please alert a member of staff if you have a concern, or are worried about someone.
No outside bottles are allowed in. Reusable water bottles must be emptied upon entry. Water is available at the bar or ticket desk.
Bags may be checked upon entry to the venue.
We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask a person to leave without reason.
