BURY SOUND IS BACK FOR 2024
Each date will feature five competing artists, and one special guest headliner. The Grand Final will be headlined by last year’s finalists Ikarus.
BurySOUND was founded in 1998 by the council’s youth champion Jackie Smith and local promoter Paul Johnson, who wanted to provide opportunities for local artists seeking to write and perform their own material, in the hope that it would help to kickstart a scene in the West Suffolk area. 26 years on, the local music scene is still incredibly strong, vibrant and diverse.
This heat is hosted at The Hunter Club, 6 St Andrew’s Street South, Bury St Edmunds IP33 3PH. Tickets are available online or at the Apex box office.

2024 is BurySOUND’s 26th year and the incredible response from East Anglian artists (62 acts applying for the 25 available slots) underlines how strong, exciting and vibrant our region’s music scene is right now. We are, as always, very excited to see the amazing talent this year’s competition has to offer.
This event is all ages. Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult.
