BurySOUND will take place during January & February with five heats held here at The Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds and the Grand Final taking place at The Apex in March. Each date will feature five competing artists, and one special guest headliner. The final will be headlined by last year’s winners H*LLO K*TTY FUN LAND
BurySOUND was founded in 1998 by the council’s youth champion Jackie Smith and local promoter Paul Johnson, who wanted to provide opportunities for local artists seeking to write and perform their own material, in the hope that it would help to kickstart a scene in the West Suffolk area. 28 years on, the local music scene is still incredibly strong, vibrant and diverse.

The Hunter Club is a cashless venue
A ticket to this event does not entitle you to access other events that may be happening in other rooms.
BurySOUND is an all ages event.
Under-14’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Under-18’s are only allowed in the bar area to purchase a soft drink and then must return to the event area.
The Hunter Club is an 18+ venue and all-ages events work on mutual respect. You are welcome to attend advertised events, but to watch the music. Not to hang around outside, or in other parts of the club that are neither bar or venue. An abuse of these policies will result in all events being 18+ only.
The Hunter Club is a safe space. We have a zero tolerance policy to any kind of abuse. Please alert a member of staff if you have a concern, or are worried about someone.
No outside bottles are allowed in. Reusable water bottles must be emptied upon entry. Water is available at the bar.
Bags may be checked upon entry to the venue.
We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask a person to leave without reason.
