DESCRIPTION
Open to all! Whether new to the stage or an experienced performer; a musician, singer, poet or comedian everyone is welcome.
Regularly championed for having one of the best sounding Open Mic’s in the area, the night is hosted by our resident sound boss Alec Jarman! Reluctant at start he has stepped in to the role of compere fantastically giving encouragement and support to all performers.
Free entry for performers and attendees this is an event for the community.

Microphones and PA provided.
Although we do have amped up performers for those musicians who bring one along; we do not allow full bands with drum kits as it’s not the vibe of the event we’re aiming for. If repeated interest is shown for a regular full band showcase/open mic/jam event then we will consider it, so if keen on the idea then please do let us know!

Hunter Club Open Mic is an all ages event.
Under-14’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Under-18’s are only allowed in the bar area to purchase a soft drink and then must return to the event area.
The Hunter Club is an 18+ venue and all-ages events work on mutual respect. You are welcome to attend advertised events, but to watch the music. Not to hang around outside, or in other parts of the club that are neither bar or venue. An abuse of these policies will result in all events being 18+ only.
The Hunter Club is a safe space. We have a zero tolerance policy to any kind of abuse. Please alert a member of staff if you have a concern, or are worried about someone.
No outside bottles are allowed in. Reusable water bottles must be emptied upon entry. Water is available at the bar.
Bags may be checked upon entry to the venue.
We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask a person to leave without reason.
All performances are recorded for posterity. Please speak to Alec to receive a copy of these performances
