On Saturday 16th September at The Hunter Club, we’re kicking off Washing Machine’s Autumn of Awesomeness with the return of Bury St Edmunds’ finest flightless parasitic five-piece, slamdance-instigating insects of the order siphonaptera, your favourite alternative hardcore heroes and mine, FLEAS.
Since being crowned winners of BurySOUND 2021, Fleas have stormed stages all over East Anglia, released their monstrously mighty EP ‘Revenge is Forever’, been hotly-tipped by BBC Introducing in Suffolk and won the NMG Award for Best Rock Act of 2022.
Supporting on the night we have a barnstorming double-brace of unfeasibly exciting aceness: Norwich’s alt-metal/grunge inflected heaviosos SETTLEMENTS, d’n’b/hip-hop/punk master HIX, and two brand new Bury hardcore bands, KILL AND SUFFER and SILENCE ANSWERS. Prepare to be obliterated, but in a really nice way that won’t make you itchy at all.
